Haroon Moghul

Haroon Moghul is the Director of Strategy at The Concordia Forum, a global network of senior Muslim leaders dedicated to pluralism, dialogue, and shared success through service. An historian and occasional Friday preacher, he is the author of several books, including How to be a Muslim: An American Story and Two Billion Caliphs: A Vision of a Muslim Future. A one-time stand-up comic (literally, just that one time) and award-winning journalist, his essays have been published by The New York Times, NPR’s Fresh Air, CNN, NBC News, The Washington Post, The Guardian and many more. Haroon has appeared on all major US news networks as an expert commentator on U.S. foreign policy, the Middle East and South Asia. He's taught at universities, conferences, libraries, and houses of worship across North America and the wider world. He lives with his wife and family in Cincinnati, where he is active teaching religion and literature while working on his next books.Â
